Adaptive Snowboard

Adaptive Snowboard is for snowboarders that want to teach Adaptive Snowboarding or other cross-discipline techniques such as Mono-skiing, Bi-Skiing, Visually Impaired Guiding, Ski Bikes, etc.

Step 0: If you are preparing to take a Level II assessment, you must take a Level II Prep Course prior to the assessment. This course is valid for the current and subsequent season before it expires. Level I does not have a mandatory prep course.

Step 1: Find a certification event through the online listing, or request one through the Adaptive discipline chair at nrm.adaptive@gmail.com.

Step 2: Register to become a member online or by calling the NRM Region office at 406-581-6139.

Step 3: Register as an assessment candidate (You may have to wait one business day after registering as a member to be able to register for the assessment) through the event calendar, or by calling the NRM Region office at 406-581-6139.

Step 4: Acquire the appropriate materials for your assessment, and complete the workbooks. This will not be an evening project; it requires reading the manuals, completing the workbooks, and having some adaptive experience. Links to these materials may be found at the bottom of this page.

Step 5: Complete workbooks and study. Workbooks will need to be submitted on the morning of the first day of the event.

Step 6: Work on riding and adaptive-specific techniques associated with the assessment you are taking.

Step 7: Get good sleep, be on time, and show up to the event with all of your gear and workbooks ready to rock and roll!
