Welcome to Fall Festival 2025!

Here you will find everything you need to know for

Fall Festival, December 5-7, at the Big Sky Resort.

Join our community of instructors for 2 1/2 days of multi-discipline snow sports clinics and après ski festivities guaranteed to get you primed for the season. Sessions focus on what it takes to be a GREAT instructor, including on-snow skills, teaching, creativity, alignment, kids and other ways of sliding on snow. The talented team leading the sessions at Fall Fest include National Team Members Zoe Mavis, AJ Oliver, Katie White Matt Larson, Team Alumni Brenna Kelleher, Chris Fellows, Brent Amsbury and members of NRM’s Education Teams.

The packages for Fall Festival are 1 day $161, 2 days $277, and 2 1/2 days $355. These include all on-snow events, swag and après ski events. These prices DO NOT include lodging or tickets. Please note that we are only offering sessions Sunday morning. The listed prices are the early tiered pricing. Prices will increase as we get closer to the event.

Lift ticket discount links will be sent to those that are registered. Links will be sent within 14 days of the event start date.

Fall Festival 2025 : Elective Offerings

Alpine, Snowboard, Telemark, and Children’s Specialist Core Groups
(
Friday, Saturday, & Sunday AM, all disciplines)
Enjoy sliding and working with the same group each morning. Groups will be divided by speed on the first morning and return to the same group each morning to work with the same trainer, your personal improvement and hopefully creating new friendships and connections!

Instructor Decisions and Behavior (The Blue Ring)

Friday & Saturday PM, all disciplines)
In the Learning Connections model, the outer ring represents the Instructor’s decisions and behaviors. Learn how decision-making plays an intricate role in the learning connection and how you can up your skills in the area of decision-making to improve your lessons and outcomes for your student’s experience

CARV Clinic
(
Friday & Saturday PM, Alpine only)
Come along with CARV ambassadors Brenna Kelleher and Katie White to either learn how you can use CARV with your clients and in training to improve your own skills, or work with one of these pros to improve your scores and hence your skiing in general! Units will be provided for a set number of people in the groups. Sign up now to reserve your spot!

DIRT-D FUN!
(
Saturday PM, Alpine only)
Combining D.I.R.T. D. with the skiing/snowboarding FUNdamentals, this clinic will be a DIRT-D FUN time. By playing with different parts of the DIRT-D model in relation to the skiing fundamentals, you will build a more thorough understanding of the range the skiing fundamentals can have. This skill building and blending clinic will help get your body moving and your brain working as your group works through different drills and skills to fully grasp what each fundamental can do.

Recognizing Misalignment through Equipment
(Friday & Saturday PM, Alpine only)
With Master Boot Technician Brent Amsbury. Learn how to recognize alignment issues that come from equipment issues. Understand the impact this has on skiers’ movements and how to begin to correct.

Pattern Breaking
(
Friday PM, Alpine and Snowboard)
Dust off the cobwebs and start the season strong with a clinic based on changing your movement patterns. With an open mind, these afternoon sessions will help you move towards your more efficient self. Whether you’re pursuing a new certification, working through an injury, or just want to explore your skiing and riding range, this is the clinic for you!

Ski and ride with the Legends
(Friday PM, Saturday PM, Alpine and Snowboard)
For over 60 years NRM has been the home of many of the pioneers and leaders of snow sports education in America and the world. NRM has had a large presence on the PSIA-AASI National Teams and in the governance leadership of PSIA-AASI. Come spend the afternoon with some of these LEGENDS of PSIA-AASI, who we are proud to have as NRM members!

Teaching a first-time Telemark Lesson
(Friday PM, any discipline welcome)
This clinic will give you the tools needed to teach a beginner telemark lesson.

Off-piste Telemark
(Saturday PM, any discipline welcome)
In this clinic, you will explore how we adapt the telemark fundamentals to improve confidence and control in off-piste areas of the mountain.
