Unified Assessment open to Professional members of any region. This exam is modular (3) day on snow assessment. There are 3 modules (Ski, Technical understanding and movement analysis, and Teaching and People skills). The candidate must successfully pass each module to become certified. Participants can sign up for one, two or three days based on their needs. Participants will be assessed base on the 2022 PSIA National Standards.

During the last 2 years PSIA-AASI has been pursuing national alignment. What this means is that by May, 2026 all regions will adopt the same assessment processes across all disciplines.

In the spirit of supporting and preparing for national alignment, the Intermountain, Central, Northern Intermountain Mountain, Northern Rocky Mountain and Rocky Mountain regions are coming together in Snowbird, Utah.

During April 3-5, a 3-day, 3 module assessment process will be offered. The process has been designed by the National Telemark Task Force. Specifics of the days assessment activities will be emailed to participants. Expect many of the assessment activities to be familiar. However, the process is likely to differ in some ways from any current process in any region, but it will be designed in accordance with our national standards, assessment criteria and performance guides.

Assessment candidates from all regions are encouraged to participate. The process will be staffed by examiners from multiple regions.

This experience will demonstrate the strength of our association and national standards, the flexibility of our regional examiner teams, and the willingness of our executive leaders to collaborate.
