Welcome to PSIA-AASI NRM

In NRM it is our goal to provide snowsports professionals the training and support to develop both personally and professionally. Whether you teach on the snow part time or full time, or at a large or small area, and regardless of the tool on your feet, our purpose is to support you in your job. We do this by:
  • Giving you the tools you need to excel
  • Offering educational events to improve your skills as a skier, rider and instructor
  • Providing a system of certification for instructors that rewards and recognizes three levels of achievement in teaching and skiing/riding
  • Providing professional credibility for members, both with the general public and within ski area management
  • Keeping you up to date as our sports and our industry change

Please use this website as a resource. The links across the top provide membership, event and contact info and the links on the left provide discipline specific information to help you navigate your way through the certification and professional development process.

If you cannot find the info you are looking for contact the NRM division office at info@psia-nrm.org or the PSIA-AASI national office at mist@thesnowpros.org.

Letter from NRM President...

Update on the Divisional Agreement and the new Governance Task Force

As it has been a few months since the signing of the Divisional Agreement by five of the PSIA/AASI divisions, here is a quick update on current events. The five divisions who have signed are still firmly behind the document as the best direction for each of our memberships. This document formalizes our business relationship by spelling out the roles and responsibilities of each of our business where they overlap and will be renewed on a yearly basis. Areas covered by the agreement are divisional boundaries, membership, national certifications, and logo ownership and use. As in any relationship, when roles and responsibilities are defined, each party is better able to work towards the mission. In this case, we are able to more efficiently serve our membership and work toward our shared mission of inspiring a lifelong passion for the mountain experience, helping people grow personally and professionally, creating positive learning experiences, and have more fun!
