PSIA-AASI NRM Freestyle

Iron Team Coach Selections

The Iron Team is the most skilled freestyle riders/skiers/coaches in Northern Rocky Mountain division. Each spring a selections event is held to hire the next seasons team. PSIA-AASI members are invited to attend the selections event to earn a position on the Iron Team. A maximum of 13 coaches are chosen each spring during the two day event. To be eligible to attend the selections event, participants must be level 3 certified in alpine, snowboard or nordic and have FS2. Those selected are required to attend a two-day paid training the following fall. Returning Iron Team coaches are also required to repeat this process annually.

NRM Freestyle Committee

The NRM Freestyle Committee is a group of 8-10 NRM members who volunteer their time to developing the NRM Freestyle Program. Sections are made by the NRM Freestyle Chair and are one-year terms. The position is unpaid. Members must be level 2 certified to participate. The position is described in the NRM rules and regulations section 21. Contact the NRM Freestyle Chair if interested.

NRM Freestyle Chair

The NRM Freestyle Chairperson oversees logistics and development of the NRM Freestyle program and events. This is a unpaid position selected by the NRM President. The position is a three-year term. Members must be level 2 certified. The position is described in the NRM rules and regulations section 21. Applications are received by the NRM president before the new three-year term begins. Next term begins June 2013.
