NRM EF Scholarship Funds for the 2009-2010 season
During the 2009-2010 season the scholarship committee will be evaluating applications from members for financial awards to help them offset the cost of education events or exams. The committee is responsible for reviewing all applications and awarding funds to applicants, both individual members and member schools. Applications forms are can be found on the PSIA-NRM website and should be sent to the NRM office once completed.
Scholarships are one of the great member benefits that PSIA-NRM offers. As you read through the newsletter and review the website, take a look at the educational opportunities offered. This season the pool of funds we have to give away is much smaller than last year; down nearly 40%. The economy has had a big affect on us. The total amount of funds we have to award this year is approximately $700. Scholarship funds come from monies raised at Fall Fest plus individual donations made throughout the year. Keep this in mind when you loosen your purse strings during the silent and live auction at this year's Fall Fest!
As you set personal goals for the season, remember that the NRM Education Foundation scholarships are for everyone, no matter what their specialty happens to be.
2009-2010 Scholarship Application
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Every season the Scholarship Committee receives funds from the NRM Education Foundation to help members further their education in snowsports. The funds are limited. Awards are made to members in good standing who show a desire to increase their knowledge and a willingness to contribute to the improvement of our organization. To apply submit this form along with a written statement about yourself, your personal and professional goals in relation to snowsports and snowsports teaching, how you plan to share the information gained from attending the event, plus any additional information you feel is relevant. Please also include a letter of recommendation from your snowsports school director.

NOTE: Scholarship funds awarded are to be used for participation in education clinics or certification exams. As an event attendee, you are expected to pay for lift tickets, transportation and other personal expenses
