ACE Program and Developments in Children's Accreditation
ACE-1

ACE-3

ACE-2

The Accreditated Children’s Educator was created for NRM by Marie Shaw and company to supplement the need for Children’s Education and Accreditation for NRM members. An ACE instructor from NRM is currently recognized by PSIA-AASI National as a Children’s Accreditated Instructor. As an ACE instructor you will be recognized through out the USA at all PSIA- AASI member schools as being a highly qualified children’s educator. It is comparable to achieving a level of certification in a certain discipline. An ACE is a pre-requisite in many divisions, including NRM, to become a member of the divisional education staff. It is also required in order to try out for the National Demonstration Teams.

PSIA-AASI National is preparing to unveil a nationally unified and recognized Children’s Accreditation next spring. Lucky for NRM our very own Eliza Kuntz is leading this task force. The working name for this project is Children’s Specialist (CS) 1 and 2. The current information on this development is that all NRM ACE certified instructors will be recognized as having their CS2 and our current KB Kids Clinic will be emulated in the CS1. The reasoning behind this unified accreditation is to create a standard for children’s education throughout PSIA-AASI so we are all on the same page. For instance when a instructor from another division comes to NRM or vice versa. The instructor’s new school can have a clear idea of that persons experience and knowledge is when it comes to working with children in snowsports.
